ANNEX" Ai~D GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
PROTESTS THEHETO
WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory
hereinbelow described, a description and map of said te~-ritor,y was
1~ esented to the Boundary Commission of Or.ange County, and said
Commission has approved said description as being reasonably definite
and certain;
NOW, THEREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of
the real property herein described to said City for the following
teas ons:
1. That the area can best be served by the City of Santa Ana
with municipal services of the highest caliber anywhere obtainable.
2. That said territory would receive the greatest economic
benefit by becoming a part of the City of Santa Aha.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939 and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin-
habited within the meaning of Goverr~ment Code Section 35303 on the
date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State
of Califor~ia, and is described as:
Beginning at the Northwest co~ner of Lot E of the Stafford and
Tustin Tract of land on the Rancho Santiago de Sm ta Ana, as
shown on a map ~ecorded in Book 2, pages 618 and 619, Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, said North-
west corner being on a point on the city boundary of the City
of Santa Aha, California, and running thence easterly along
said city boundary and along th&-sodth line O2~-First Street to
the Northeast co~ner of the north half of the west half of
said Lot E and to an angle point in said city boundary; thence
southerly along the east line of said north half of the west
half of Lot E m~ d along said city boundary to the southeast
co~ner of said north half of the west half of Lot E and to an
angle point in said city boundary; thence easterly along the
south line of the north half of Lot E and along said city
boundary to the southeast co~ner of said north half of Lot E
and to a~ angle point in said city boundary and to the west
line of Tustin Avenue 66.00 feet wide, and to the city limit
line of the City of Tustin, California; thence easterly,
departing from city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, along
the easterly prolongation of the south line of the north
half of said Lot E and along said Tustin city boundary 33.00
feet to an angle point in said Tustin city boundary, and to
the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence southerly along
said center line of Tustin Avenue and along said Tustin city
boundary to the center line of Main Street and to a~ angle
point in said Tustin city boundary; thence easterly along
said center line of Main Street and along said Tustin city
boundary 44.oo feet to an an~le point in said Tustin city
boundary; thence South 00° 0~' 55" East along said Tustin
city boundary 666.72 feet to an angle point in said Tustin
city boundary; thence westerly 77.00 feet to a point on the
westerlY line 75.00 feet north of the intersection of the
westerly prolongation of the center line of Sixth Street,
formerly Sycamore Street ($6.00 feet wide) with the westerly
line of Tustin Avenue, formerly Newport Co. Road (66.00 feet
wide) all as shown on said m~o of Stafford and Tustin Tract;
thence southerly along said westerly line of Tustin Avenue
to the most southerly corner of the land described in the
final order of condemnation of Parcel l0 rendered August ll,
1954, in Action No. 61400, Superior Court of 0r~ange C.ounty,
a certified copy of which was recorded August lb, 1954 in
Book 2793, page 423 of Official Records of Orange County;
thence North 24° 01' 49" West 81.30 feet; thence South 89°
55' 05" West 241.60 feet; thence North 40o 04, 45" West
174.10 feet; thence North 14° 39' 35" West 185.60 feet;
thence North 45u 0~' 10" West 162.31 fe~ thence North 62°
20' ~4" West 276.1~ feet; thence North ~O 27' 40" West
597.40 feet; thence North 89 30' 25" East 39.90 feet more
or less to the southerly prolongation of the west line of
Lot D of said Stafford and Tustin Tract; thence northerly
along said southerly prolongation and along said west line
of Lot D to a point on said West line 501.50 feet North of
the south line of said Lot D, measured along said west line;
thence easterly in a straight line to a point on the east
line of said Lot D which is 501.13 feet North of the south
line of Lot D, measured along said east line; thence North
along said east line of Lot D to the north line of Lot D, and
to the city boundary of ~he City of Santa Aha; thence easterly
along the north line of said Lot D and along said city bound-
ary to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "TUSTIN AND FREEWAY N. W. ANNEX"
is hereby designated as an appropriate name for said territory for
the purpose of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ~tAT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That
August 17, 1959, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Aha, California, is the
time end place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against
this annexation made by any person owning real property within said
territory. At any time before said hour any owner of said territory
may file written protest against this proposed ~nexation. Such

protest must state the owner's nmne m d the description and area
of the property owned by him in general terms.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 29th day of June
1959.
