PROPERTY AT THE NORTITNEST CORNER OF NINETEENTH AND ~igIN
STREET FOR THE WIDENING 0F ~AIN STREET
WHEREAS, the majority of the property owners in the area have
requested that Nain Street be widened north of Eighth Street~ and the
City Council agrees with the necm~ity~ for such widening;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana finds, declares and orders:
1. That No~th ~ain Street as it exists in t~e north part
bf Santa Ana is inadequate in width for present and future demands
of traffic thereon.
2. That public interest and necessity require the acquis-
ition of an easement for street right-of-way purposes across the
property hereinbelow described.
3. That said proposed improvement is located and planned
in a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury; that an action in eminent domain
be ~ud it is hereby ordered filed to take and acquire an easement
for said purposes and for all the purposes of a public street on, over
and through that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
An easement for street purposes over the easterly 12.00
feet of the following: Corm~encing at a point North 1°
East ?18 feet from a point North ~9° ~2' West 3~ feet from
the common corner of Sections l, 6, 12 and 7, in Township
~ South, Ranges 9 and l0 West, San Bernardino Base and
Neridian; thence No~th 89° ~2' ~est ll3.~ feet; thence
South 1° West 62 feet to the North line of Nineteenth
Street;~ thence East along the North line of Nineteenth
Street~ll~.~ feet to a point in a line drawn North 1° East
from a~point North 89° ~2' WeSt ~ feet from said common
corner of said Sections l, 6, 12 and 7; thence North 1°
East 62 feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That public interest, necessity
and convenience require and it is hereby ordered that the City of
S~nta Aha take im~ediate use and possession of said property.
BE IT ~RTHEB RESOLVED: That this action is taken in accord-
~ce with the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the
State of California relating to eminent domain.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City o£ Santa
