OF "SOUTH SANTA ANA ANNEX" AND GIVING iVOT!CE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS THERETO WPIEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory hereinbelow described, a description and map of said territory was presented to the Santa Ana Planning Commission and said Commission ~.has approved the annexation of said territory and the Boundary Commission of Orange County has approved said description as being reasonably definite a~d certain; NOW, THEREF0~E, ~E IT ~ESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of S~a Aha hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the real property herein described to said City for the following reasons: 1. BE IT FURTHER ~SOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to ~nex all of the territory here inbelow described under the provisions of the Ar~uexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- habited within the meaning of Govemment Code Section 3~03 on the date of the adoption of ~l~is Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of California and is described as: Beginning at an angle point in the city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California, said point being at the intersec- tion of East line of Section 25, Township 5 South, Rauge l0 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, with the northwester- ly line of the Pacific Electric Railroad right of w~, and running thence southerly along said east line and along said city boundary to the center line of Dyer Road and to an angle point in said city boundary; thence easterly along said center line and along said city boundary to a point bn said center line of Dyer Road which is 33.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from said east line of Section 25, to an angle point in said city boundary; thence southerly along a line parallel with and 33.00 feet easterly measured at right angles from said east line of Section 25, and from the east line of Section 36 in said Township and Range, and along said city boundary to the easterly extension of the no~th line of Sunflower Avenue, said north line being 25 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence Morth 89° 41' iS" West departing from said City boundary along said North line and its extension of Sunflower Avenue 4,?00.00 feet more or less to the norther- ly extension of the east line of that certain ~ foot wide strip of land conveyed to the Orange County Flood Control District on December 3, 1949, and recorded in Book 19~0, page ll3, Official Records of Orange County, Caltfo~nia; thence southerly along said east line of that certain 55 foot wide strip and its extension 2,686 feet more or less to a point in the North line of Berry Rancho as sho~ on a map thereof recorded in Book 9, page ?, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South 89° 51" East. along said north line and its easterly ~xtension to the south- easterly right of way line of Newport Avenue, said southeast- erly line being 30.00 feet southeasterly, measured at l~ght angles, from the northwesterly line of Irvine's SubdiviSion as shown on a map recorded in Book l, page88, Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of 0r~nge County, California, and a re- cord of survey map recorded in Book 7, page 3~, ~Record of Surveys in the office of s~id Orange County recorder; thence southwesterly along said southeasterly right of way line to its intersection with the easterly extension of the north line of Baker Avenue, said north line being 40.00 feet north- erly, measured ~t ri~t angles, from the~center line of~said Baker Avenue;~hence westerly along said north line or. M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, ~±~nird and I'J~ain Streets, Ssnta Aha, California, is the time and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against this annexation made by any person owning real property within said territory. At any time before said hour any owner of said territory may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest must state the owner's name and the description and area of the property owned by him in general ter~s.
