Ai~NEX" Ai~D GIVING NOTICE 0F TI~E AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS THE?~E TO WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory hereinbelow described, a description and map of said territory was presented to the Santa Aha Planning Commission and said Commission has approved the annexation of said territory, and the Boundary Com~ission of Orange County has ~proved said description as being reasonably definite and certain; NOW, ~tEREFORE, BE IT ?~SOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby initiates ~oceedings for the annexation of re~ property herein described to said City for the following reasons: 1. That the area can best be with municipal services of the able. served by the City of Santa Ana highest caliber anywhere obtain- 2. BE IT PURTHER RESOLVED: That the City CoUncil hereby declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- habited within the meaning of Gove~ament Code Section 3~303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is con- tiguous to the City of Sa~ ta Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at the intersect.ion of the East line of Ritchie Street (50.00 feet wide) wmth the Southwesterly right-of-way line of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, said poin.t o~ intersectmon being an angl~in thao certain terrmtory ~esignated "]~cFadden andqL~n S.E~ Annex", which was annexed to the City of Santa Ana by~inance No. ~S-312 on April 7, 1958, and running thence h~orthwesterly along said Southwesterly right-of-way llne of said railroad and along the city boundary of the City of Sm ta ~us. to a line parallel with and 20.00 feet Southerly (measured at right angles) from the center line of ~m~[Cl~adden St.; thonce Easterly~ departing from said city boundary alor~ said parallel line to its intersec- tion with a line which is parallel with and 25.00 feet Westerly (measured at right angles) from the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence Southerly along said'line 25.00 feet ',~esterly from the center line of Tustin Avenue to the North- easterly right-of-way line of said Atchison, Topeka, snd Santa Fe Railroad; thence Northwesterly along said North- easterly right-of-way line of said railroad to said East line of Ritchie Street; thence Southerly along said East line to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "McFADDEN ~_ND TUSTIN S. W. ANNEX'~ is hereby designated as an appropriate name for said territory for the purpose of this annexation. ? BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Et.~T NOTICE IS HE!~EBY GIVEN: That September 21, 19~9, at the hour of 7:30 P.~i. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and l,[ain Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time ~nd place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against this mN~nexation made by any person ov~ing real property within said terri- tory. At any time before said hour ~y owner of said territory may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest must state the owner's name and the description a~d area of the prop- erty owned by him in general terms.
