PAYING NO CASH CON~RATION FOR THE REAL PROPERTY
CONVEYED BUT IS PAYING THRONGH ESCROW THE SUM OF
$36,000.00 FOR ~E RE~OVAL OF THE FRONT OF SAID BUIIDING
WHEREAS, JULIETTE TIERNAN has offered to the City a deed
conveying an easement for street purposes over the Easterly ten
(10) feet of property known and numbered as 902 North Main Street
for the widening of said street, without cash consideration from
ssS d City; and has agreed with agents of the City that said owner,
in consideration of the sum of $36,000.00, willpay all costs in-
volved in the removal of the front of the store building f~om
said ten-foot street easement, and the reconstruction of the front
of said building;
NOW, TH~HEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City accepts said
deed and authorizes the Mayor to execute the escrow instructions
for the completion of said transaction, and directs ~ Carl J.
Thornton, the City's designated agent, to endorse the accepts~ce
of said deed upon the face of the same, and the Clerk of the
Council is instructed to return executed escrow instructions and
deed to the Security Title Insurance Company.
PASSED A~VD ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 8th day of September, 1959.
