HomeMy WebLinkAbout59-238~OLUTION NO. 59-238 A RESOLDTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA CHANGING THE WORK PROPOSED TO BE DONE IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 202 AND CHANGING THE AMOUNT OF CO~THIBUTION TO BE MADE BY THE CITY WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 59-45, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to contribute the sum of $6,940.00 from the treasury of the City from the General Fund thereof toward the cost of the improvement set forth and described in said resolution; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 59-35 of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, certain specifications entitled "Specifications for Im- provement - Assessment District No. 202" and plan No. A.D. 202 were approved and adopted; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 59-45 of said City Council, said City Council declared its intention to order the work done as described in said resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the Director of Public Works of said city that certain changes in said specifications, plan, and work should be made; and WHEREAS, the contractor, by writing, has consented to such pro- posed changes; NOW, THEEEFOHE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of said Resolution No. 59-45 setting forth the amount to be contributed by the City shall be modified to read as follows: "That a portion of the cost and expense of the work de- scribed herein, in the amount of $8,464.84 shall be paid out of the treasury of the City from the General Fund thereof." Said City Council proposes to adopt said modification so as to in- crease the city's contribution from the sum of $6,940.00 to the sum of $8,464.84, which said latter sum shall be paid out of the treasury -1- of the City from the General Fund thereof. SECTION 2. That said City Council hereby proposes to change the work described in said plan and specifications and the work de- scribed and set forth in said Resolution No. 59-45 as hereinafter set forth. Said work shall be changed by modifying said plan as follows: The following work shall be deleted or added as indicated. The number in the lefthand column under "Parcel No." shall designate the ~cation of the addition or deletion as shown on said plan. The column headed "Description" shall designate The column headed "Sheet No." said plan on which the change shall indicate whether the change is an addition to the work. PARCEL SHEET NO. It is estimated that the cost of the proposed changes will increase the cost of the work by the sum of $52.26. SECTION 3. That notice hereby is given that, on the %th day of 0ctoher, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. any person interested in the proceedings referred to in said Resolution No. 59-45, said resolution referring to the improvement of Towner Street and other streets within the city all as set forth in said resolution, having -2- any objection to the changes proposed herein, either as to the work or to the amount of the City's contribution thereto, may appear before said City Council and show cause why said changes should not be ordered, and any person interested may file objections to the pro- posed changes with the Clerk of the Council at any time not later than the time set for hearing. SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council hereby is directed to publish this resolution in "The Santa Aha Register" two times, the first publication to be at least ten days prior to the date of the above public hearing. SECTION 5. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the adoption o£ this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
