CERTAIN REAL PROP~ ON THE WEST SIDE OF FAIRVIEW
AVENUE AT EDINGER STREET FOR STORM DRAIN PURPOSES
WHEREAS, new street alignment for Fai~view North of Edinger
street has been established, and in order that the property lying
north of Edinger Street may have a storm drain outlet to Edtnger
Street, it is necessary to construct a drainage ditch or ur~erground
storm drain in the area hereinbelow described;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana finds, declares and orders:
1. That public interest and necessity require the acquis-
ition of an easement for the installation of a structure to handle
storm, flood and surface runoff waters across the real property
hereinbelow described.
2. That said proposed improvement is located and planned
in a manner that will be most compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury.
3- That an action in eminent domain be filed to take and
acquire an ease~Gent for said purpose over, in and through that cer-
tain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the following described property lying
South of a line parallel with and 800.00 feet Southerly,
measured at right ang]s s from the North line of Section
22, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, San Bernardino Base
and Meridian:
A strip of land 30 feet in width the West line of which
is 77 feet westerly, measured at right angles, from the
following described line:
Commencing at the intersection of the center line of
Sullivan Street with the center llne of Edinger Street
as shown on a map of Tract No. 506, recorded in Book 17~
pages 26 and 27, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, and runninK thence North 0 47 20
West 10.00 feet; thence South 89° 30' 00" West 875.35 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northerly
having a radius of 1,200.00 feet; thence westerly along
the arc of said curve through a central angle of ll° 27'
24", an arc distance of 239.95 feet to the true point of
beginning, said true point of beginning being the inter-
section of the new center line of Edinger Street with the
center line of Fairview Street as it extends North of said
Edinger Street; thence North 15° 48, 38" East 247.06 feet
along said center line to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave westerly having a radius of 1,200.00 feet; thence
northerly along the arc of said curve through a central
angle of 30° 00' 00", an arc distance of 628.32 feet to a
tangent line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That public interest, necessity
and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered, that the City
of Santa Ana take immediate possession and use of the property
herein ordered to be acquired upon complying with the rules of
law applicable thereto and ~lake deposit of money by way of security
as the Court may di~eet for said purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said action is taken in accord-
ance with the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the
grate of California relating to eminent domain.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th
