RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF
SANTA AMA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY
FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEUELOP~ENT OF
FAJ/~ IEW S T~.~.
WHEREAS. the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fairview Street _from
Delhi Road to Segerstrom Av~u~ and --
WHEREAS. Fairview Street is an important artery in the County of Orange
and of general Oounty interest, and
WHE~EAS. Article 2 and Article 3. Chapter 9. Division 2 of the Streets and
Highways Code amthorises a County. if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned
to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to an~ City in the
i~provement, construction or repair of a etreet within a City. and
WHEREAS. the Board of Supervisors intends to. by appropriate action, provide
in the County budget of the Special R~ad Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year
1960-61 a sma of money for the i~pr~vement of streets withim the incorporated
cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway
Financing Programe
NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana
hereby req~este the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate
to said City from County Funds the amount of $12.000.00. said amount to be
matched by funds from said City. to be used to aid said City in the iw~rovement
of Fair,iow Street from De~M~ Road to Segerstroa Avenue. and for the acquisition
of necessary rights of way~ said improvements and acquisition of rights of way
to be in accordance with the attached project statement~
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of way on
Fairview Street. in the manner provided, is in the general County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. by this Resolution. the City of Santa Aha agrees
with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further
agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be avail-
able for the fiscal year 1960-61.
