inadequate in width to accomodate the flow of traffic presently using said street;
NOI4, Tn~FO~E BE IT I{E~OLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
does hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity require that First
Street be widened and improved on the North and South sides, and further require
that Said City do have, take and acquire easements for street purposes over, through
and across certain lands in the City of Santa Aua, County of Orange, State of
California, described as:
PARCEL 1
Begin-tug at the Southeast corner of Section 10, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
San Bernardino Base and ~eridian, and ~m-ing thence westerly along the South iine
of said ~ection, 132.00 feet; thence northerly parallel with the East line of said
Section, 52.00 feet; thence easterly parallel with the South line of said Section,
132.00 feet to the East line of said Section; thence southerly along said East line
52.00 feet to the point of beginning.

along the Southerly line of said land 200 feet; thence Northerly parallel with the

line of said Section 10, 200 feet tothe Westerly line of said land; thence Southerly

and Meridian, in the City of Santa Ana, said point being 1080.03 feet West of the
Southeast corner of said Section 10; thence North 0° 13' 30" East 52~00 feet; thence

line of the land described in a deed to the Local Union Noel815 of Santa Ana,

BE IT FURTHER BESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby ordered and
directed to bring an action in the name of said City in the Superior Court of
the State of California in and for the County of Orange to condemn said property
necessary to be taken, as herein ordered and described, and to do all things
necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER I~SOLVED: That the public interest, necessity and convenience
require and it is hereby ordered that the City of Santa Ana, a Municipal corporation,
Plaintiff in the condemnation action ordered herein, take immediate possession and
use of the property herein ordered to be acquired upon complying with the require-
ments of the law applicable thereto, that the City Attorney report to the Director
of Finance the amount of money required thereof, and that the Director of Finance
shall deposit said amount with the Clerk of the Court2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation of said property
so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with the provisions of the Code of
Civil Procedure and Constitution of the State of California relating to eminent
domain.
