HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-028RESOLUTION 64-28 AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED AND EXECUTION OF A DEED EXCHANGING EASEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SANTA ANA SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, heretofore, the Santa Aha School District granted to the City an easement for the construction, operation and mainte- nance of sewer and drainage facilities along Hemlock Way, East of Raitt Street, and the City now desires to relocate the same; and WHEREAS, the City has determined to restore the existing drainage ditch to its original condition and to return the same to the School District; and WHEREAS, the Santa Ana School District has delivered to the City a deed dated February 13, 1964, conveying an easement for the relocation of said drainage facilities along Hemlock Way, East of Raitt Street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed quitclaiming to the SANTA ANA SCHOOL DISTRICT all the City's interest to that real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: The Northerly 15.00 feet of the Easterly 22.93 acres of the North half of Lot 9 of the Williams Tract, as shown on a map recorded An Book 30, Page 14, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, being the map of partition of the Estate of Isaac Williams, deceased, and deliver the same to said owner. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said deed from the SANTA ANA SCHOOL DISTRICT and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2~d day of March, 1964.
