A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PUBLIC
WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD
CONTROL PERMITS ON BEHALF OF TEE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS~ in connection with the administration of the De-
partment of Public Works of the City of Santa Aha, it becomes nec-
essary to seek permission to enter into or encroach upon the facilities
of the Orange County Flood Control District; and
WHEREAS~ in the past~ permits allowing such encroachment have
been executed by the Mayor after action by the City Council~ said action
being based upon the recommendations of the Department of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS~ the City Council finds that the routine negotiations
between the City and the Orange County Flood Control District can be
better handled and expedited by having the Public Works Director of the
City of Santa Ana execute all flood control permits on behalf of the City~
as permittee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Aha that the Public Works Director be~ and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Santa Ana~ as permittee~
all Orange County flood control permits. This authorization does not in-
clude authority to execute documents pertaining to the conveyance or
acceptance of rights in real property.

at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of March ~ 1964
