QUITCLAIM DEED BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, heretofore LODEWICES J. and MARY E. SCHOONDERWOERD
delivered to the City a deed granting to the City an easement for
street purposes on Posey Street, west of Newhope Street, in exchange
for adjacent City property which is of no further value to the City
and which the City proposes to quitclaim to said grantors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
quitclaiming to LODEWICES J. SCHOONDERWOERD and MARY E. SCHOONDERWOERD
the City's interest in that certain parcel of real property lying
north of Posey Street and west of Newhope Street and described as:
That portion of the Northwest quarter of Section 16, Township 5
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian
described as follows:
CCmunencing at the intersection of the center lines of Sugar
Avenue and Newhope Street as shown on a map of survey filed
in Book 51, Page 35, Records of Survey in the Office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, California, and running
thence North 00°40'25" West along said center line of Newhope
Street 766.00 feet; thence South 89°30'35" West 418.00 feet
to a point on a tangent curve concave Southeasterly, having
a radius of 18.91 feet, said point being the true point of
beginning; thence Westerly and Southerly along said curve
through a central angle of 73°34'20" an arc distance of
24.28 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence Southerly
and Westerly along a curve concave Northwesterly, having a
radius of 101.00 feet through a central angle of 73°34'20", an
arc distance of 129.69 feet to a tangent line; thence North
89"30'35" East, 115.23 feet; thence North 00"40'25" West
86.00 feet to the point of beginning,
and deliver the same to said owner.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1964.
