HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-052RESOLUTION 64-52 ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY OF "EAST FIRST STR~ETANNEX NO. 4" AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, heretofore, the Boundary Cc~mission and the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County have approved the description of territory hereinbelow contained and its annexation to the City of Santa Ana, California, and a petition requesting annexation of said territory, signed by the owners of all of said territory, has been presented to the City Council. The Santa Ana Planning Commission has approved the annexation of said territory. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that all of the owners of said territory have petitioned for annexation to Santa Ana; that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the "East First Street Annex No. 1" as annexed to the City of Santa Aha by Ordinance NS-650, said Northeast corner being a point on the South line of First Street, said south line being 33 feet south measured at right angles from the center line of First Street, said point being on the Northwest corner of Lot D of the Stafford and Tustin Tract of land as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 2 at pages 618 and 619 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and running thence South 0° 27' 15" East along the West line of said Lot D and along the city boundary of Santa Ana and along the East line of said "East First Street Annex No. 1", a distance of 733.36 feet; thence departing from said City boundary North 89° 32' 45" East along a line parallel with said South line of First Street, a distance of 643.50 feet to the East line of said Lot D; thence North 0° 27' 15" West along the East line of said Lot D 733.36 feet to said South line of First Street and to the Northeast corner of said Lot D, and to the boundary of the City of Santa Ana as established by the "First and Tustin W. Annex" by Ordinance NS-296; thence South 89° 32' 45" West along said City boundary and along said South line of First Street a distance of 450.61 feet to the Southeast corner of the "Mabury Annex No. 1" as established by Ordinance NS-259; thence South 89~ 32' 45" West along said City boundary and along said South line of First Street, a distance of 192.89 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED: That "EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 4" is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory shall be known for the purpose of this annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that May 18, 1964, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against this annexation made by any owner of property within the city of Santa Ana who does not own property in the territory to be annexed, all as provided for in Section 35310.1 of the Government Code of the State of California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of April, 1964.
