COUNCIL ~ ~. CITY OF SANTA ANA AND
EXPRESSING SUPPORT TN~tEOF
~EAS, the City of Santa Aha is interested in the problems and
needs of all youth in the c~-munity; and
Ww~$LTAS, a Youth Council is an effective means whereby the youths
of this co~unity may express themselves on matters that concern them; and
Ws~.~EAS, the Board of Recreation and Parks of the City of Santa
Aaa has rec~r~m-ended the formation of a Youth Council; and
Youth Council would be an asset to the community.
NOW, Third,ORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Santa Aaa City Council
does hereby express its support of the formation of a Santa Aha Youth Council;
BE IT FUI~,'H~ ~ESOLVED, that the Board of Recreation and Parks is
hereby authorized and urged to create a Youth Council within the City of Santa
BE IT FUI~.s~.w RESOLVED, That the Board of Recreation and Parks is
authorized and encouraged to enlist the active participation of adults to act
as an Adult Advisory Board to the Youth Council; and
BE IT FURT...~ RESOLVED, that each and every service organization,
church, boys club, girls club and public school is hereby encouraged to
participate in the creation and contin.m~ce of a Y~th Council in the City of
Santa Aaa.
