OF RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE C-5-F DRAINAGE
CHANNEL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, in order to continue the construction of a portion
of the storm drains of the City, to wit: the C-5-F Drainage Channel,
it is necessary to acquire certain easements and one parcel of real
property in fee title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
finds and determines that public interest and necessity require the
construction of certain drainage facilities and require the acqui-
sition of right of way for the location of such storm drain
facilities and require the acquisition of Parcel No. 1, hereinbelow
described, in fee simple, and the City Council orders that the City
of Santa Aha do have and acquire the real property in the City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL
The North one acre of the South 12 acres of the West one-
half of the Southwest one-quarter of the Northeast one-
quarter of Section 16, Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 51, page 12 Of Miscellaneous Maps, reoords of
Orange County, California.
EXCEPTING that portion thereof in Newhope Street.

An easement for drainage, access and incidental purposes
along the Easterly 20 feet of the South 1 acre of the
North 6 acres of the West one-half of the Southwest one-
quarter of the Northeast one-quarter of Section 16,
Township 5 South, Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas,
as shown on a Map recorded in BOok 51, page 12 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California.
PARCEL
An easement for drainage, access and incidental purposes
along the Easterly 20.00 feet of the South 66.00 feet of
the North 5 acres of the West one-half of the Southwest
one-quarter of the Northeast one-quarter of Section 16,
Township 5 south, Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas
as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51, page 12 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California.
PARCEL 4:
An easement for drainage, access and incidental purposes
along the Easterly 20 feet of the North 99.00 feet of the
South 165.00 feet of the North 5 acres of the West half of
the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section
16, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, Page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California.
PARCEL ~:
An easement for drainage, access and incidental purposes
along the Easterly 20.00 feet of the North 165 feet of the
North 5 acres of the West half of the Southwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 16, Township 5 South,
Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California.
EXCEPTING THEP~EFROM the Northerly 50.00 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby ordered to bring an
action in the name of the City to condemn said property necessary
to be taken and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action
to final determination;
2. That public interest, necessity and convenience require
and it is hereby ordered that said City take immediate possession
and use of the property herein ordered to be acquired upon
compliance with the requirements of law applicable thereto as a
right of way for public use;
3. That said public improvement is planned and locate~ in
a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury;
4. That the City of Santa Ana is authorized and empowered
to provide for drainage structures and rights of way for the removal
of storm waters from the City;
5. That said action in condemnation shall be taken in
accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and
the Constitution of the State of California relating to eminent
domain.
PASSED AND ADOPTEDby the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1964.
