OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
TO GRANT PERMISSION FOR THE CONSOLI-
DATION OF A SPECIAL CITY BOND ELECTION
TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 3, 1964, WITH THE
STA"'~WIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON 'r~ SAME DATE.
WHEREAS, this City Council has commenced proceedings
for the calling of a bond election in the City of Santa Aha, to
be held on November 3, 1964, for the purpose of submitting to
the qualified voters of the City of Santa Aha a bond proposition
hereinafter in this resolution set forth; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that said bond election be
consolidated with the statew~de general election to be held on
the same date and that within the City of Santa Aha the precincts,
polling places and election officers for the two elections he
the same, and that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange canvass the returns of the city bond election and that
said statewide general election and said city bond election be
held in all respects as if there were only one election.
~. ~ NOW, THEREFORE, the City ~ouncil of the City of
Santa Aha, California,
as follows=
Section 1.
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
That the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Orange be and it is hereby requested to grant permission for
the consolidation of the bond election to be held in the City
of Santa Aha on November 3, 1964, with the statewide general
election to be held on said date, and to order said consolidation.
Section 2. The exact form of the question or propo-
sition to be voted upon at said bond election as it shall appear
on the ballot is as follows:
CITY OF SANTA ANA CIVIC CENTER LAND
ACQUISITION BONDSz
Shall the City of Santa Aha incur a
bonded indebtedness in the principal
sum of $2,400,000 for the acquisition
by said city of a certain municipal
improvement, to wit= real property
for civic center site purposes and
fer streets in and about said site?
Said proposition shall be designated on the ballot by
a letter printed on the left margin of the square containing the
description of the measure, as provided in Section 10231 of the
Elections Code of the State of California.
Section 3. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby
authorized to canvass the returns of said city bond election
which it is hereby requested to consolidate with said statewide
general election and said elections shall be held in all respects
as if there were only one election, and only one form of ballot
shall be used.
Section 4. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby re-
quested to issue instructions to the County Clerk to take any and
all steps necessary for the holding of said consolidated election.
Section 5. That the Clerk of the Council of the City
of Santa Aha is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this

resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of said city by
a vote of more than two-thirds of the members thereof and was
approved by the Mayor of said city at a special meeting of said
City Council held on the 24th day of August, 1964, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
