BETWEEN THE CITY OF SA~A ANA AND THE COUNTY OF
ORANGE FOR ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BY
EACH OF SAID PARTIES, TRANSFER OF TITLE TO CERTAIN
PROPERTY BETWEEN SAID PARTIES, INDIVIDUAL A~) JOINT
USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY PRESENTLY OWNED AND
PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIB~ FOR THE EXPANSION, DEVELOP-
MENT AND USE OF THE CIVIC CENTER SITE IN SAID CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and the County of Orange
have agreed upon the advisability and need for increased
governmental facilities in the Santa Ana Civic Center and the
desirability of cooperative effort in the acquisition of real
property, the transfer of real property title and the development
and use of said property by said parties to provide adequate
facilities and to create a mutually beneficial civic center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the
Clerk of the Council are hereby directed to execute that certain
agreement providing for acquisition of real property, transfer of
real property title, joint consultation and agreement in the
development and use of said real property for civic center purposes
to enlarge, develop and utilize areas west of Ross Street, between
Fourth and Eighth Streets, to an alley lying west of Olive Street,
and the acquisition of property along the north side of Sixth
Street bounded on the east, north and west by City-owned property,
and to deliver the same to W. E. ST. JOHN, Clerk of the County of
Orange, for consideration and execution by the Board of Supervisors
of said County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 15th day of
September, 1964.
