HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-140RESOLUTION 64-140 DECLARING OCTOBER 5, 1964, AS THE TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF WAGE RATES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AND THAT ANY WAGE CHANGE MADE SHALL BE EFFECTIVE AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1964 WHEREAS, wage studies and salary surveys have now been completed, but the detailed conclusions were not available in time for hearing at either of the Council meetings held in September and the Council desires a public hearing to be held. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares that any change in wage rates made as a result of said studies and survey shall be effective as of September 1, 1964, and that the delay in adoption of a Salary Resolution was to obtain full information and to provide a time for hearing all persons and organizations wishing to be heard to provide further information to assist in determining which wages should be adjusted and in what amount. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That October 5, 1964, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber, Third and Main Streets, Santa Aha, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place where any person may appear and be heard on the question of whether any wage now fixed should be increased or decreased and, if either, then how much such change should be. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of September, 1964.
