INTENTION TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF AN UNNAMED
ALLEY BETWEEN VALENCIA AND POINSETTIA STREETS
AND RUA/NING NORTHERLY FROM SEVENTEENTH STREET
TO THE PROPOSED SEVENTEENTH STREET FREEWAY
ON-RAMP, AND RESERVING THEREIN A PUBLIC EASE-
MENT FOR WATER MAIN PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has requested that a
portion of an unnamed alley, hereinafter described, be vacated as
said alley portion is unnecessary for present or future street
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of
September 14, 1964, recommended the vacation of said portion of
said unnamed alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
hereby adopts the map attached hereto and orders the same filed
with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk
of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the
exterior boundaries of the alley right of way proposed to be
vacated.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed with
this vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
1941 (§§8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways
Code) to vacate that certain portion of that unnamed alley in the
City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described
as:
That portion of that certain alley, 15.00 feet wide, in
Block "G" of Nob Hill Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 4, page 24 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, lying northerly of the following
described line:
Beginning at a point in a line that is parallel with and
52.00 feet north, measured at right angles from the center
line of Seventeenth Street as said center line is shown on
a map of the Resubdivision of the Nob Hill Tract recorded
in Book 6, page 3, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, said point being 0.26 feet Easterly
measured along said parallel line from the West line of
Lot 1 in Block G of said Resubdivision of the Nob Hill
Tract and running thence North 0° 09' 27" East 1.00 foot
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southwesterly
and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Northerly along
said curve through a central angle of 42° 42' 27" an arc
distance of 14.91 feet to a tangent line; thence along said
tangent line North 42° 33' 00" West to a point in the
Westerly line of said alley.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying Northerly of the
following described line: Beginning at a point on the West
line of Lot 3, Block G resubdivision of the Nob Hill Tract
as per map recorded in Book 6, page 3, Miscellaneous Maps,
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
California, said point being 41.27 feet South of the North-
west corner of said lot; said point being a point in a
curve concave Northerly having a radius of 221.00 feet, a
radial line through said point bears North 4° 49' 45" East;
thence Westerly along said curve to a point in the Westerly
line of said alley.

RESERVING AN EASEMENT FOR WATERMAIN PURPOSES over that
portion of a strip of land 15 feet wide, lying within the
above-described parcel. The center line of which is
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the West line of Lot 28 in said
Block "G", said point being 1.5 feet South of the Northwest
corner of said Lot 28,and running thence South 42~ 33' 00"
East to a point in the center line of Seventeenth Street
distant Westerly 92.5 feet from the intersecting center
lines of Seventeenth Street and Poinsettia Street measured
along said Seventeenth Street center line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That November 2nd, 1964, at the
hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and
Main Streets, Santa Aha, California, is hereby fixed as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
said proposed alley vacation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of October, 1964.
