THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE
ON APPLICATION 2020 FILED BY THE MEREDITH
COMPANY, SUBJECT TO CONDITION
WHEREAS, after hearing on notice, the Planning Commission
has DENIED a variance on Variance Application No. 2020, filed by
THE MEREDITH COMPANY, and Appeal Application No. 141 was duly
filed by said applicant presenting the matter before the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing, has
determined that all of the statute and ordinance requirements
the granting of a variance are adequately met, and that said
Variance should be granted subject to condition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council does
hereby overrule the decision of the Planning Commission and does
hereby grant a variance on Variance Application NO. 2020 to permit
deviation from the R-4 procedure requirements for Tract 4000
located on the south side of Santa Clara Avenue, between Wright
Street and Tustin Avenue, Santa Ana, California; said Variance
is granted subject to the condition that all of the conditions
and requirements of Tentative Tract 4000 be complied with.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of November, 1964.
