HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-181RESOLUTION 64-181 EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE HOLDING OF THE WORLD'S FAIR IN ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, several sites in the County of Orange have been considered as possibilities for the holding of a World's Fair; and WHEREAS, a California World's Fair held in Orange County would attract both national and international attention to this fastest growing area in the State of California, would draw hundreds of thousands of people to this County, would stimulate business activity throughout the County, and would contribute to the continued growth of the County; and WHEREAS, Orange County possesses several possible sites a World's Fair and possesses all of the facilities and energy necessary to hold such a World's Fair. for NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana endorses the idea of holding a California World's Fair in the County of Orange, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of November, 1964.
