CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING WITHDRAWAL OF
TERRITORY FROM THE TUSTIN LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, heretofore the territory herein described was annexed
to the City of Santa Ana, California, by Ordinance NS-650, adopted
May 6, 1963, under the name of "EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 1" and
said property has for eighteen (18) months been within the limits of
the City of Santa Ana and still remains within the Tustin Lighting
District and is now subject to double taxation for the purpose of
receiving street lighting service and should be removed from said
District; and
WHEREAS, On November 24, 1964, a map and description of said
territory was submitted to the Orange County Boundary Commission,
which Commission regularly reported thereon on December 7, 1964, and
the City of Santa Ana has considered the Commissions recommendations
and has modified the proposal to conform themeto in accordance with
Government Code §58858.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That all of that territory
in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described in the description attached hereto entitled "Withdrawal
From Tustin Lighting District - EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 1", and
by reference made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby withdrawn
from the Tustin Lighting District, and the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana hereby declares the withdrawal of said territory from
said District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1964.
