OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL
HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT
OF CERTAIN STREETS
WPL~HEAS~ the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets, and
WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds ap-
portioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for Aid to any City
in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action,
provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal
Year 1965-66 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated
cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway
Financing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana
hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to
said City from County Funds the amount of $684,000, said amount to be matched by
funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of certain
streets as follows:

Said improvements are to be in accordance with the attached project statements.
BE IT I~JRTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of
way, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest.
BE IT ~3RTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Ana
agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and
further agrees that its shares of the cost o£ improvements will be available
for the Fiscal Year 1965-66.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1964.
