HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-012RESOLUTION NO. 6~-1~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR A CONTRIBUTION BY SAID CITY OF PART OF THE COSTS AND EXPENSES OF CERTAIN WORK AND ORDER- ING THE AMENDMENT, ALTERATION AND MODIFICATION OF THE DIAGRAM AND ASSESSMENT. (Assessment District No. 221, Watkins Way) WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works of the City of Santa Aha, California, has heretofore made and filed with the Clerk of the Council an assessment and diagram for that certain work done under and pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911 (commencing at Section 5000, Streets and Highways Code) and resolution of intention, Resolution No. 63-171; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of this City Council it is desirable to provide for a contribution by said city of part of the costs and expenses o{ said work; and WHEREAS, the boundaries of the assessment district, as shown on said d~_~ram,~55 were ordered to be modified by Resolution No. ; and WHEREAS, by reason of said contribution, modification of the boundaries of said assessment district and other matters, if any, raised during the course of the hearing on said diagram and assessment, this City Council deems it advisable to order the amendment, alteration and modification of said diagram and assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. A contribution in the amount of $2,380.16 towards the costs and expenses of said work is hereby provided for and ordered to be made by the City of Santa Aha. Said amount shall be 'deducted from the total costs and expenses of said work and the remainder of said costs and expenses assessed upon the several lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. Section 2. Said contribution shall be paid to the contractor, or his agent or assigns, at the time and in the manner provided by law, and shall be paid from the ~1-532 Fund of said city. Section 3. Said diagram and assessment shall be amended, altered and modified in the manner set forth in the "Schedule of Amendments in Diagram and Assessment (Assessment District To. 221. Watkins Way)" attached to and made a part of thzs resoluti~n. Section 4. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to amend, alter and modify said diagram and assessment in the manner provided herein and, during the course of said hearing, to return said assessment to this City Council as so amended, altered and modified. SCHEDULE OF AMENDMENTS (Assessment District No. 221, Watkins Way) DIAGRAM The boundaries of the assessment district, as shown on the diagram, shall be changed to conform to the boundaries fixed by Resolution No. 65-5; such boundaries are those shown on the "Second Revised Map of Assessment District No. 221", on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council. ASSESSMENT The following amendments, alterations and modifications shall be ~de in the assessment: (1) On the front sheet, second paragraph, in lines 11 and 12, change "the sum of seventy three thousand, three hundred seventy nine dollars and fifty two cents Dollars ($73,379.52)" to read "the sum of seventy one thousand one hundred twenty three and 45/100 Dollars ($71,123.45) ." (2) On the front sheet, second paragraph, in line 13, change the amount "of$124.13" to read "of $2,380.16." (3) On the front sheet, fifth line from the bottom of the sheet, change the amount of "124.13 to "2,380.16". Page 1 of Two Pages. (4) On the front sheet, third and fourth lines from the bottom of the sheet, change the sums of'~73,379.52" to "$71,123.45". (5) On page three of the filler sheets, delete Assessment Number 57 and the sum of $2,256.03 assessed thereom. Page 2 of Two Pages.
