DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAI~i~ FOR SAID TERRITORY
OF "HARBOR AND WARNER WEST A~EX" Ai~D GIVING
NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, at the request of the property owners in the terri-
tory herein described, a description and a map of said territory
were presented to the Santa Ana Planning Commission, which approved
annexation of said territory, to the Orange County Boundary Commission,
which caused a report to be prepared finding that the boundaries of
said proposed annexation met with the approval of the Orange County
Surveyor's Office in respect to Government Code Section 35002, and to
the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, which approved
the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said
territory to the City of Santa Ana for the following reasons:
That said territory can best be served by the City
of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest
quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such
services which is lower than can be obtained anywhere
else in the County of Orange.

That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and
the landowners that said territory become a part of
said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereiD_below described
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited
within the meaning of the Government Code Section 35303 on the date
of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous
to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of
Santa Aha, California, said point being an angle point on
the boundary of Talbert and Harbor N.W. Annex, Ordinance
NS-328, said point being North 1° 19' 45" West 330.00 feet
from the intersection of the East line of Harbor Boulevard,
which is parallel with and 40.00 feet East, measured at
right angles, from the center line of said Harbor Boulevard,
with the center line of Talbert Avenue, as said intersection
is shown on a map recorded in Book 40, page 49, Records of
Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange
County, California; and running thence South 88° 45' 15"
West along said City boundary 1360.00 feet more or less to
the West line of the Southeast one quarter (SE ¼) of the
Southeast one quarter (SE¼) of Section 2S, Township 5 South,
Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and to an
angle point in said City boundary; thence North 1° 19' 45"
West 990.00 feet along said City boundary to the Southwest
corner of the Northeast one quarter (NE %) of the Southeast
one quarter (SE %) of Section"28 and to an angle point on
said City boundary; thence West along said City boundary and
along the North line of the South one quarter (S %) of
Section 28 a distance of 960.00 feet more or less to the
Easterly right of way line of the Santa Ana River through
the Newbert Protection District and to an angle point in
said City boundary; thence departing from said City boundary
North 2Sv 19' 26" East along said Easterly right of way line
1510.00 feet, more or less, to an angle point; thence North
28° 20' 49" East along said Easterly right of way line
2270.00 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 23,093.33 feet;
thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve and along
said Easterly right of way line through a central angle of
1° 24' 15" an arc distance of 565.96 feet to its intersection
with a line which is 50.00 feet Northeasterly, measured at
right angles, from the center line of Harbor Boulevard as
shown on a map recorded in Book 30, page 43, Records of Surveys
in the office of the County Recorder of said County, said
point of intersection being an angle point on said City
boundary as annexed by the Croddyland Annex No. 1, Ordinance
NS-lS4; thence South 18° 16' 42" East along said City
boundary 239.23 feet to an angle point in said City boundary;
thence South 71° 43' 1S" West along said City boundary 10.00
feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South
18° 16' 42" East along said City boundary 160.00 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave westerly having a radius
of 1040.00 feet; thence Southeasterly along the arc of said
curve and along said City boundary through a central angle of
1~° 56' 57" an arc distance of 307.65 feet to a tangent line;
thence South ia 19' 45" East 490.51 feet along said City
boundary to a point in said City boundary said point being
the Southwest corner of Lot 7, of Tract No. 1024, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 33, page 33 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; thence South 1° 19' 45"
East along the West line of the Segerstrom Annex No. 2,
Ordinance NS-205, and along said City boundary 1482.00 feet
to a point in said City boundary; thence South 1° 19' 45"
East along said City boundary and along the West line of
Croddyland Annex No. 2, Ordinance NS-258, a distance of 100.00
feet to a point; thence South 1° 19' 45" East along said City
boundary and along the West line of Segerstrom Annex No. 3,
Ordinance NS-261, a distance of 2046.44 feet more or less to
the point of beginning of this description.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "HARBOR AND WARNER WEST ANNEX"
is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory
shall be known for the purpose of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that
April 5, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the
time and place fixed at which said Council will hear written protests
against this annexation made by any person owning property within
said territory. At any time prior to the final adjournment of the
hearing on protests any owner of property within the territory may
file written protest against this annexation. The protest shall
state the name of the owner of the property affected and the street
address or other description of the property sufficient to identify
it on the last equalized assessment roll, all as provided for in
California Government Code Section 35312.

Aha at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of February, 1965.
