RESOLUTION 65-37 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTE~ION TO VACATE A NARROW STRIP ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE, RUNNING WESTERLY FROM BRISTOL STREET WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has joined with the owners in requesting the vacation of a strip of land on the south side of Segerstrom Avenue running west from Bristol Street, with an average width of 4 feet, and the Planning Commission has unanimously recommended such action to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby adopts the map attached hereto, orders the same to be filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for details as to the exterior boundaries of the portion of Segerstrom Avenue proposed to be vacated. The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (§98300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that certain portion of Segerstrom Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of the East half of Section 26, Township 5 South, Range 10 West in the land allotted to James l~cFadden in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court of Los Angeles County, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning on the south line of Segerstrom Avenue, 84 feet wide, north 8S° 53' 41" east 30.00 feet from the east line of Lot 7 of the Williams Tract, as shown on a map filed in Book 45, Page 17, Record of Surveys, Records of Orange County; thence north 88° 53' 41" east 1580.54 feet along said south line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of 25.00 feet, as shown on said Record of Surveys; thence southeasterly 39.~2 feet along said curve through a central angle of 91© 15' 47" to a point of tangency with the west line of Bristol Street, 90 feet wide, as shown on said Record of Surveys; thence north 00° 09' 2~" east 4.00 feet along said west line to the begin- ning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence northwesterly 39.32 feet along said curve through a central angle of 91° 15' 47" to a point in a line parallel with and distant northerly 4.00 feet, measured at right angles from said south line of Segerstrom Avenue; thence tangent to said curve along said parallel line south 88° 53' 41" west 13~30.~2 feet; thence south 88° 19' 18" west 200.24 feet; thence south 01° 03' 09" east 2.00 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That March 15, 19~5, at the hour of 7:30 P.i4. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, '±~ird and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution once in The Register and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon, said notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing.
