HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-052RESOLUTION 65-52 REQUESTING THAT THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DIVISIO~ OF HIGHWAYS INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF MacARTHUR BOULEVARD AND REDHILL AVENUE WHEREAS, Mac Arthur Boulevard is a State Highway and Redhill Avenue is a County road of major importance; and WHEREAS, the high volume of traffic on both of these highways cause delay and safety hazards which affect many citizens of Santa Ana even though this location is outside the City Limits in unincorpo- rated territory; and WHEREAS, the traffic congestion in this area affects many businesses and industries in Santa Ana whose customers and employees who must use this intersection in the course of such employment or business. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana requests that the State of California Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, install a traffic control signal at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Redhill Avenue as soon as possible, and directs that copies of this Resolution be sent to the legislators representing Santa Aha in the State Capitol and to the Headquarters and District offices of the Division of Highways. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1965.
