CLARA AVENUE NORTHWEST ANNEX" TO 'IX4E CITY OF
SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, on April 5, 1965, the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uniz~abited territory by
Resolution 65-49, which said Resolution found and declared that said
annexation proceeding was initiated by a petition therefor signed by
the owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed,
and which said Resolution was published in accordance with the re-
quirements of Government Code §35310.1 setting the protest hearing
for May 3, 1965, a date upon which a regular meeting of the City
Council was scheduled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said City Council hereby
finds and declares that no protest was received from any owner of
property within the City~ that said territory was uninhabited on
April 5, 1965, and was contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all
of the statements hereinabove and in Resolution 65-49 are true and
correct, and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any
indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the
County of Orange, State of California, and described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of that certain
80.00 foot wide strip of land acquired by the State of California
by final order of condemnation recorded November 7, 1935, in
Book 785, Page 382, of Official Records of Orange County,
California,said 80.00 foot strip being Glassell Street, with a
line which is parallel with and 801.90 feet North, measured at
right angles, from the center line of Santa Clara Avenue, said
intersection being an angle point on the City boundary of the
City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Grand Avenue West and Santa
Clara Northeast Annex, NS 524, thence South 12° 45' 44" East
along said City boundary 345.00 feet, more or less, tot he
beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly, having a radius
of 2040.00 feet, thence Southeasterly along said City boundary
and along the arc of said curve through a central angle of
12° 35' 29" an arc distance of 448.30 feet to a tangent line;
thence South 0° 10' 15" East along said City boundary 18.53 feet
to the intersection of.the center line of Santa Clara Avenue
with the said East line of an 80.00 foot strip, said intersection
being a point on the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as
annexed by Ordinance Number 73, thence West 592.20 feet, more or
less, along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue and along said
City boundary as annexed by Ordinance 73 to the intersection of
said center line with the East line of an annexation to the City
of Santa Ana as established by the Santa Clara and Lincoln
Northeast Annex, NS 542, said intersection being the Southeast
corner of Tract Number 4531, as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 161, pages 20 and 21, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California; thence North 801.90 feet along said
City boundary and along the East line of said Tract Number 4531
to an angle point in said City boundary, as established by the
Santa Clara and Lincoln Northeast Annex, NS 542, and to the
Northeast corner of Tract Number 4531; thence departing from said
City boundary East 467.00 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Resolution
effected and declared. For t'he purpose of tax segregation of this
annexation, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City--1957
and 1958 Annexes".
