HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-131RESOLUTION 65-131 AUTHORIZING CHANNELIZATION ON SEVENTEENTH STREET BETWEEN SANTIAGO AND FAIRMONT STREETS AND PROHIBITING PARKING IN SAID AREA WHEREAS, Seventeenth Street is a major arterial in the City of Santa Ana carrying very high volumes of traffic; and WHEREAS, considerable delay is caused wherever a vehicle has to wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make a left turn; and WHEREAS, between Santiago Street and Fiazmont Street there are many cars making left turns. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Seventeenth Street between Santiago and Fairmont Streets shall be channelized to provide storage space for left turns and that, for this purpose, parking shall be prohibited at all times at the following places: 1. Along the North curb of Seventeenth Street between Santiago Street and a point 205 feet East of the most easterly curb line of Santiago Street; and 2. Along the South curb of Seventeenth Street between Santiago and Fairmont Streets.
