SANTA ANA COMMUNITY AT THE DEATH OF WILLIAM
B. KOHL
WHEREAS, after more than twenty-six years of service with
the United States Marine Corps WILLIAM B. KOHL came to Santa Aha,
California, and rapidly earned acceptance in the business community,
which was evidenced by the fact that he was made Assistant Manager
of the Santa Aha Chamber of Commerce, a position that he held until
his death on September 11, 1965; and
WHEREAS, in his work with the Chamber of Commerce he became
well known to and respected by the business, industrial, and
professional leaders of the City and rapidly developed an enlarging
circle of friends throughout the business community and among the
citizens of the City; his constant cheerfulness, willingness to take
on any assignment, and his genuine friendliness made him better
known than many of our longtime residents; and
WHEREAS, his death leaves a void incur City life and his
contribution during the past critical years to the orderly growth
and development of this City has been so great as to merit recog-
nition by the leaders of all elements of our community life.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana officially expresses the awareness of loss felt
by the entire community and expresses its sympathy to the family of
our late friend, WILLIAM B. KOHL.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of September, 1965.
