RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO
FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY
MEASURE.
WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City
of Santa Ana on March?~ 13, 1962, at which there will
be submitted to the qualified electors of said city the
following city measure:
REVENUE BOND PROPOSITION: Shall the City of
Santa Aha issue water revenue bonds in the maximum
principal amount of $6,950,000 for the acquisition
and construction of additions to the revenue pro-
ducing water utility of the City of Santa Aha (i.e.
the water supply and distribution System) for which
the property to be acquired and the improvements or
additions to be made to the equipment for such
revenue-producing utility ~shall consist of works
and facilities for the production, storage, trans-
mission and distribution of water, including water
storage reservoirs, water wells, pumping and pres-
sure regulating stations, water transmission and
distribution mains, capacity rights in works and
facilities to be used Jointly with other public
corporations,~facilities of existing water com-
panies; and for the foregoing appurtenances and
appurtenant works, and including the acquisition
of all water rights, lands, easements, pipe, pumps,
and other property necessary therefor; the estimate
of the cost of the foregoing purpose being $6,950,000;
the regulations and procedures for the sale and
issuance of such bonds to be as set forth in the
Revenue Bond Law of 1941 (Chapter 6, Part l, Divi-
sion 2, Title 5 of the Government Code of the State
of California); and the provision to be made from
the revenue of such revenue-producing utility for
the payment of interest on, and retirement of, the
bonds to be that said bonds are secured by and are
payable from all of the revenues of said utility
as now or hereafter constituted, all as more
particularly set forth in said Revenue Bond Law of 19417
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That this City Council, being the
legislative body of the City of Santa Ana, hereby
authorizes
A. Allen Hall
Dale H. Heinly
Henry H. Schlueter
Bob Brewer
Royal E. Hubbard
members of said body, to file a written argument for the
city measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accord-
ance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elec-
tions code of the State of California and to change said
argument until and including the date fixed by the Clerk
of the Council after which no arguments for or against
said city measure may be submitted to said Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the
15th day of January, 1962.

I, MARION SUTTNER, Clerk of the Council of the City of
Santa Ana, California, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing
resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of said City and
was approved by the Mayor of said City at a regular meeting of
said City Council held on the 15th day of January, 1962, and that
it was so adopted as follows:
