TO PROCEED WITH CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY KNOWN
AS ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 62-503-2 AND
62-503-3 FOR A CITY PARK
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the necessity for a
park to be located in the Easterly part of Santa Aha to afford open
space for play and recreation area for the citizens of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that public interest
and necessity require the establishment of a neighborhood park in
East Santa Ana and to establish the same require that said City do
hav~ take and acquire, in fee simple title, that certain real property
in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
The Easterly 258 feet of Lot 3 of Tract No. 678 as per
map thereof recorded in Book 32, Pages 10 and 11, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
and
Lot 4 of Tract No. 678 as per map thereof recorded in
Book 32, Pages 10 and 11 in the office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County; EXCEPTING THEREFROM the
North 127 feet of the East 162 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered to bring an action in the name of the City in the Superior
Court of the State of California,in and for the County of orange,
to condemn said property necessary to be taken as herein found, and
to do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final
determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said action for condemnation of
said property shall be taken in accordance with the provisions of the
code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the State of
California relating to eminent domain.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of January, 1962.
