SIDERATION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA TO SAID CLARENCE G. BERRY AND .'
THELMA J. BERRY FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SAID QUITCLAIM DEED
WHEREAS, CLARENCE G. BERRY and THELMA J. BERRY have presented
to the City a deed dated February 7, 1962, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the East side of Andres Place, South of Melric j~
Drive, in consideration of the City paying for all charges in
connection with certain prescribed street improvement work and in
consideration of the City quitclaiming to CLARENCE G. BERRY and
THELMA J. BERRY all of the City's interest in a certain parcel of
real property located on the East side of Andres Place, South of
Melric Drive; and
WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
No. 47318-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined to accept said deed and to
execute a quitclaim deed to said persons in partial consideration
for said deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed dated February 7, 1962, from CLARENCE G. BERRY and
THE~A J. BERRY, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed quitclaiming
to CLARENCE G. BERRY and THELMA J. BERRY any right, title or interest
that the City may have in a parcel of reel property located on the
East side of Andres Place, South of Melric Drive and described as:

That portion of Lot 24, in Tract No. 1550 as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Book 54, at Page 15, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California, lying Easterly
of the following described line:
Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of
Sugar Avenue and Newhope Street, as shown on a Map of
Survey filed in Book 51, Page 35, Record of Surveys in the
Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California,
and running thence North 00° 40' 25" West along said center
line of Newhope Street 1,1SS.63 feet; thence South 89° 30'
35" West 441.76 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve
concave Easterly having a radius of 500.00 feet and to the
true point of beginning, the radial to said curve at said
point bears South 81° 36' 35" East; thence Northerly
along the arc of said curve through a central angle 3° 48'
30" to a tangent line; thence North 12° 11' 55" East 4.26
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly,
having a radius of 480 feet; thence Northerly along the arc
of said curve through a central angle of 7°, more or less,
to its intersection with the Easterly line of said Lot 24,
and deliver the same to said CLARENCE G. BERRY and THE~A J. BERRY.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the
