ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FOR AN EXCHANGE
OF PROPERTIES IN ANDALONG THE CHANNELS OF THE SANTA
ANA RIVEd{AND SANTIAGO CREEK WITH ONE MODIFICATION
WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of the Orange County Flood Control District of Orange County~
California, on February 13, 1962, said District made an offer to the
City of Santa Aha to exchange District property, shown as Parcel 1001.2
on Drawing No. El-10, containing 9.921 acres, for Santa Aha Parcel
102, containing 0.841 acres, Parcel 101, containing 4.796 acres, both
as shown on Drawing No. E8-1, Parcel No. 1003, containing 7.789 acres,
Parcel No. 1006, containing 4.543 acres, and Parcel No. 1007, containing
0.760 acres, as shown on Drawing No. El-10; and
WHEREAS, said District owns Parcel No. 1001.3, shown on Drawing
NO. El-10, the Southwesterly end of which parcel lies at the center
line of Westminster Avenue (Seventeenth Street), a major thoroughfare
in said City and County, which said City proposed to widen to 104 feet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Santa Ana hereby
accepts the offer to exchange properties contained in said resolution
adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Orange County Flood Control
District of Orange County, California, on February 13, 1962, with the
modification Or counter-offer that said Orange County Flood Control
District, in addition to Parcel No. 1001.2, transfer to the City of
Santa Ana the Southerly 54 feet of Parcel No. 1001.3 as a part of
the consideration passing from said District to said City in the ex-
change of the properties herein referred to.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the
City of Santa Ana to execute a deed or deeds quitclaim-lng to the
Orange County Flood Control District the City-owned parcels herein-
above set out in exchange for the County-owned parcel offered to the
City by said District and the Southerly 54 feet of said Parcel 1001.3,

to effect the transfer of control of said areas between said two
governmental agencies.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of March, 1962.
