RESOLUTION NO. 62-177
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK
DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
62-156, ADOPTED ON THE 6TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1962,
IN THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
SEWER LINES, TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCES AND
.APPURTENANT WORK WITHIN THE SAID CITY FOR THE
USE AND BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 218.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways code of the State of
California, has heretofore passed and adopted its Resolution of
Intention No. 62-156 to order the work prescribed therein to be
done, which said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally
puDlished as required by law and notice of improvement has been
given in the manner required by law and a hearing date was had
in the manner required by law on the 4th day of September, 1962,
and no written objections or protests to the proposed work or the
extent of the district were made to the date of the hearing or at
the time of the hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the public interest and convenience require and the
City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that by not
less than 4/5 vote that the public interest, convenience and
necessity require and hereby orders the work described in said
Resolution of Intention to be done in Harbor Boulevard and certain
other streets, alleys and easements, all as more particularly
described in Resolution of Intention NO. 62-156 passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on the 6th day of
August, 1962, and on file in the office of the City clerk of the
City of Santa Ana. For further particulars reference is hereby
made to the said Resolution of Intention 62-156 and to plan No.

AD-218 and to Specifications No. AD-218 on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated acquisition and work or improvement hereinbefore
mentioned was, in the opinion of the City Council, of more than
local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made
the expenses of the said acquisition and work or improvement
chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of the
said assessment district reference is hereby made to the said
Resolution of Intention No. 62-156.
Said City Council has determined and declared serial
bonds extending over a period of nine (9) years from the second da
of January next succeeding the next September 1st following their
date, and bearing interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per
annum, payable semi-annually, shall be issued as provided by the
"Improvement Act of 1911" hereafter referred to, to represent
assessments of ($50.00) or more for the cost of said proposed
work and improvement, remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after
the date of recording the warrant.
That all of the work and improvement herein proposed
shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the
Legislature of the State of California designated as "The
Improvement Act of 1911", being Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed to
post conspicuously for ten (10) days on or near the chamber door
of the said City Council in the manner and form required by said
Code, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the
work ordered and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
twice in the Register, a daily newspaper, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose
by the City Council, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for

doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1962.
