HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-042RESOLUTION NO. 63-42 DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE AGAINST ANNEMATION OF TERRITORY UNDER THE NAME OF "HARBOR AND EDINGER EAST ANNEXATION" WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the City Council held on March 4, 1963, the protest hearing against an election to vote on the question of annexation and against the annexation of territory under the name of "HARBOR AND EDINGER EAST ANNEXATION" was regularly held on mailed notices to all owners of property within the terri- tory and on publication of Resolution No. 63-25. At said hearing one individual protest was filed and one petition of protest was filed against said election and annexation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council finds and declares, after examination of said protests, that the owners of 66.4~ of the real property within the territory proposed to be annexed have indicated their opposition to said election and annexation, and therefore declares that a majority protest against the annexation of said territory described in Resolution No. 63-25 under the Annexation Act of 1913 has been made and that further proceedings shall not be taken. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of March, 1963.
