THE CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, WILLIAM JUSTICE GAY, INC. has presented to the City
a deed dated March 20, 1963, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the North side of Eighth Street between Riverine Avenue
and Birch Street; and
WHEREAS, RUSSELL F. ROHRS, EMMA ELIZABETH ROHRS, and MARVIN
M. ROHRS have presented to the City a deed dated March 11, 1963,
conveying easements for street purposes on the East side of Grand
Avenue, North of Washington Place; and
WHEREAS, WARREN C. COLEMAN and GORDON M. HICKS have presented
to the City a deed dated March 21, 1963, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the West side of Van Ness Avenue and the South
side of Washington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, L. C. SMULL, KAROLYN K. SMULL and GRACE PETERS
MAXWELL have presented to the City a deed dated March 18, 1963,
granting to the City vehicular access rights on the North side of
McFadden Avenue, West of Sullivan Street; and
WHEREAS, LAKEWOOD INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION, a California
corporation, has presented to the City a deed dated March 8, 1963,
conveying a 0.06 foot strip of land in the center of Fairview Street,
South of Old Talbert Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY, a California
corporation, has presented to the City an indenture dated March 22,
1963, granting the right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use
for highway purposes a 50-foot strip of land on New Talbert Avenue,
East of Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, BENEFICIAL INVESTMENT CORPORATION has presented to
the City a deed dated January 7, 1963, conveying easements for
street and incidental purposes on the North sade of McFadden Avenue,
East of Euclid Street, and on the East side of Euclid Street, North
of McFadden Avenue; and
WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration
being paid to said grantors by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City c~ Santa Ana
accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of April, 1963.
