HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-086RESOLUTION 63-86 DENYING APPEAL APPLICATION NO. 81 FILED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FROM VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 1754 FILED BY ELKS BUILDING ASSOCIATION AND GRANTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS WHEREAS, after hearing, the Planning Commission granted Variance Application No. 1754 filed by ELKS BUILDING ASSOCIATION to permit the construction of a motor hotel, restaurant, office and shop complex at 212 South Maybury Street in an R-3 District subject to certain conditions; and WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 81 was duly filed with the City Council by the Department of Public Works appealing the granting of said Variance by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, after hearing before the City Council At has been determined that said Appeal Application should be denied, but that a portion of one condition should be deleted and one other condition should be deleted from Item 3 and added to Item 5. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby denied Appeal Application No. 81, but orders certain changes in the conditions attached thereto, as follows: That Item No. 3e. under conditions be modified to read that the subdivider submit street improvement plans for Lyon Street; That Item No. 3d. under conditions be deleted from Item No. 3 and added to Item No. 5a. of conditions of the granting of this Variance. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1963.
