INTENTION TO VACATE A 30-FOOT STREET EASEMENT
LOCATED BETWEEN FAIRVIEW AND SULLIVAN STREETS,
NORTH OF McFADDEN AVENUE, AND GIVING NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning
Commission have rec~,~,,ended, vagation of this street right of way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the map attached hereto
marked "Exhibit A" is hereby approved and ordered filed with and as
a part of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council,
and the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and
abandon that certain street right of way in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
A 30-foot wide easement for street purposes North of
McFadden Avenue running between Fairview and Sullivan
Streets as granted by deed recorded August 18, 1908,
in Book 159, Page 90 of Deeds of said Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the hour of 7:30 P.M., June 3,
1963, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets,
Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to this proposed street vacation,
The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this street
vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941
(Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways
Code).
The Clerk of the council is ordered to publish this Resolution
in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of ordinances of
the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices
of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street,
stating the passage of this Resolution of intention and the time and
place of hearing thereon.. Said notices shall be posted not more
than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted. Both
publication and posting shall be completed at least ten days before
the date of said hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1963.
