CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDF~RATION
WHEREAS, MASON TETER and DOROTHY TETER have presented to the
city a deed dated September 24, 1963, conveying an easement for
street purposes at the Southeast corner of Ninth and Spurgeon
Streets; and
WHEREAS, THE ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHBISHOP OF LOS ANGELES, A
corporation sole, has presented to the City a deed dated August 13,
1963, conveying an easement for street purposes at the Southwest
corner of Euclid Street and McFadden Avenue; and
WHEREAS, JOHN L. SENTESY and EMMA T. SENTESY have presented
to the City a deed dated September 16, 1963, conveying an easement
for street purposes on the North side of Seventeenth Street, East
of Towner Street; and
WHEREAS, THE NATIONAL LIFE AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE COMPANY,
a Tennessee corporation, has presented to the City a deed dated
August 23, 1963, conveying an easement for street purposes on the
East side of Harbor Boulevard, 600 feet South of Seventeenth
Street; and
WHEREAS, PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY, a California
corporation, has presented to the City an Indenture dated September 17,
1963, conveying an easement for street purposes on the North side
of Huntzinger Avenue, East of Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, E. and R. DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, INC., a corporation,
has presented to the City a deed dated September 30, 1963, conveying
an easement for street purposes on the North side of California
Street, West of Greenville Street; and
WHEREAS, GERALD L. NANKERVIS and MARLENE K. NANKERVIS have
presented to the City a deed dated September 3, 1963, conveying an
easement for street purposes on the East side of Flower Street,
North of Tenth Street; and
WHEREAS, THE IRVINE COMPANY, a West Virginia corporation,
has presented to the City a Grant of Easement dated September 4,
1963, conveying a non-exclusive easement for water mains, laterals,
underground water pressure reducing and metering vault, and
appurtenances thereto at the Northeast corner of Redhill and
Warner Avenues; and
WHEREAS, HUBER G. WILSON and LOUISE WILSON have presented to
the City a deed dated September 26, 1963, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the South side of First Street, East of the Santa
Ana Freeway, in consideration of improvements to be made at said
location by the City. Said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 50263-K with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, WALTER H. LEIMERT, JR. has presented to the City a
deed dated September 30, 1963, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the South side of First Street, East of the Santa Aha
Freeway, in consideration of improvements to be made at said
location by the City. Said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 50264-K with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, LURENEB. NICHOLS has presented to the City a deed
dated October 1, 1963, conveying an easement for street purposes
on the South side of Bishop Street, West of Maple Street; and
WHEREAS, JOSEPH M. CANTRELL and ALTA L. CANTRELL have pre-
sented to the City a deed dated October 1, 1963, conveying an
easement for street and public utility purposes on the North side
of Trask Avenue, East of Lewis Street; and
WHEREAS, NORMAN HERZIG, BLANCHE E. HERZIG, and AVCO DEVELOP-
MENT CO., INC., a California corporation, have presented to the
City a deed dated September 3, 1963, conveying an easement for
street purposes at the Southwest corner of Seventeenth Street and
Santiago Street; and
WHEREAS, MADELINE R. BORGESE, who acquired title as MADELINE
B. BORGESE and G. THOMAS BORGESE have presented to the City a deed
dated September 26, 1963, conveying easements for street purposes
at the Southwest corner of Bolsa Avenue and Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, G. THOMAS BORGESE, MADELINE R. BORGESE and LAWRENCE
P. DONATELLE have presented to the City a deed dated September 26,
1963, conveying an~ easement for street purposes at the Northeast
corner of Bolsa Avenue and Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration
being paid to said grantors by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1963.
