HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-180R~SOLUTION 63-180 AFFIRMING THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO GRANT A VARIANCE ON VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 1802 FILED BY THE AMERICAN PIPE AND CONSTRUCTION CO., SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice the Planning Commission granted a variance on Application No. 1802, filed by the AMERICAN PIPE AND CONSTRUCTION CO., to permit the construction of a concrete hatching facility and a storage elevator on property located at 2501 West 5th Street, Santa Aha, California, in an M-1 District, subject to conditions; and WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 91 was duly filed by A. H. GALLARDO appealing the decision of the Planning Commission and requesting a hearing on said Variance before the City Council; and WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice the City Council has determined that the decision of the Planning Commission should be affirmed and that said Variance should be granted, subject to conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby affirms the decision of the Planning Commission to grant a variance on Variance Application No. 1802, subject to conditions as follows: That a dense "windrow" of eucalyptus trees not less 10 feet in height at time of planting be provided along the northeast property line in the required landscape strip. NOTE: This condition is in place of the normally required 6-foot wall; That all loading areas, driveways and vehicular passage- ways around, to and from the hatching facility be of hard surface asphalt or concrete; That all existing off street parking Stalls be 9' x 20' and that parking be provided at a ratio of one stall per two employees; That all customer and employee off street parking and maneuvering area be on hard surface asphalt or concrete and be marked; 5. That the development be otherwise according to plot plan and all M-1 regulations of Santa Ana. J That the following Public Works conditions be complied with prior to issuance of a utilities release by the Building Department: a.) That the owner place curb, gutter and sidewalk and pave up to the edge of existing pavement on Fifth Street. The new curb and gutter to be placed thirty-two feet north of the center line of Fifth Street; b.) That the owner place curb, gutter and sidewalk and pave up to the edge of existing pavement on Fairview Street. The new curb and gutter to be placed forty-two feet east of the center line of Fairview Street. NOTE: Plans for these improvements are on file in the Department of Public Works.
