14 (g) AND 15 (C) TO VARIANCE GRANTED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION ON APPLICATION NO. 1829

WHEREAS, after hearing on notice, the Planning Commission
granted a variance on Variance Application No. 1829, filed by
GUARANTY CHEVROLET, to permit the construction of a new and used
car sales and service facility on R-2, R-l, R-lB and C-4 property
located at 807 East Seventeenth Street, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 100 was duly filed by DALE
H. HEINLY, Attorney, on behalf of said applicant, requesting a
hearing before the City Council to reconsider certain conditions to
said variance as set forth by the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, after hearing, the City Council has determined that
Conditions No. 5, 14 (g) and 15 (c) should be modified to read as
hereinbelow set out.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the findings made and
the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission are approved,
except that Conditions No. 5, 14(g) and 15(c) of the Finding of
Facts on said Variance shall read as follows:

That all signs conform to the C-5 zone provisions and
be located as shown on the plot plan, except that the
sign shown to be placed north of the driveway on
Santiago Street shall be located in a position south
of said driveway; and that the north edge of said
driveway at the top of the north curb return shall
be located approximately 10 feet south of the easterly
extension of the south lot line of the first house
north of Seventeenth Street on the westerly side of
Santiago Street.
14. g) That the subdivider submit street improvement plans
for the entire Seventeenth Street frongage of the
property and for Santiago Street to a point 10 feet
north of the north edge of the driveway as referred
to in amended Condition No. 5.

c) That the owner place curb, gutter and sidewalk and
pave to the edge of existing pavement on Santiago
street, the new curb and gutter to be placed 18 feet
east of the center line of Santiago Street. Said street
improvements shall be constructed north from Seventeenth
Street to a point 10 feet north of the north edge of
the driveway at the top of the north curb return on
Santiago Street next hereinabove in amended Condition
No. 5 referred to, which point is estimated to be
approximately 240 feet north of the center line of
Seventeenth Street.
Ail other conditions shall remain unchanged.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1963.
