W~EREAS, heretofore, on December 5, 1960, the City Council
adopted Resolution Ho. 60-255 declaring its intention to vacate ~he
portions of McFadden Avenue herein described, which Resolution was
published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, public hearing was duly held thereon on January 3,
1961, and after hearing, the Council has decided that said street
portions should be vacated.
NOW, TEERF~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 'l~at the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby finds that the portions of McFadden Avenue
herein described are unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes.
BE IT FURthER RESOLVED: ~fhat the City Council hereby makes
its order vacating and abandoning, for street purposes, the portions
of McFadden Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, described as:
PARCEL 1:,
A strip of land 84 feet in width, the center line of
which is described as follows:
Commencing at the common corner of Sections 14, 15, 22
and 23, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino
Base and ~eridian and running thence ~orth 0~ 47' 20" West
along the East line of said Section 15, said East line
being the center line of sullivan Street, 1322.6~ feet to
the true point of beginning; thence South 89~ 22' 2~" West
1679.21 feet to the beginning.of a tangent curve concave
Northerly having a radius of 1000.00 feet; thence Westerly
along the arc of said curve through a central angle of
27° 30' 00" 479.97 feet to a tangent line; thence North
63° 7' 32" West along said tangent line to the Easterly
right of way line of the former Newbert Protection District
right of way for the channel of the Santa Ana River. Said
84 foot wide strip of land being bounded Westerly by said
Easterly right of way line of the former Newbert Protection
District. Said S4 foot wide strip of land being bounded
Easterly by a line which is 42 feet Southerly measured at
right angles and parallel with the following described line:
commencing at the common corner of Sections 14, 15, 22 and
23, in said Township and Range, and running thence ~orth
0~ 47' 20" West along the East line of said Section 15,

1322.~8 feet; thence South 89~ 22' 28" West 1679.21 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave ~ortherly
having a radius of 1000 feet; thence Westerly along the
arc of said curve through a central angle of 44° 04' 26"
an arc distance of 769.23 feet to a tangent line; thence
North 45° 33' 06" West along said tangent line to said
Easterly right of way line of the former Newbert Protection
District.
PARCEL 2:
A strip of land two feet in width bounded Northerly by
a line which is 42 feet Northerly measured at right angles
and parallel with the following described line:
Commencing at the common corner of Sections 14, 15, 22 and
23, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base
and Meridian and running thence North 00° 47' 20" West along
the East line of said Section 15, said East line being the
center line of Sullivan Street, 1322.6S feet to the true
point of beginning; thence South S9° 22' 28" West 1579.21
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northerly
having a radius of 1000.00 feet; thence Westerly along the
arc of said curve through a central angle of 27 30' 00~'
an arc distance of 479.97 feet to a tangent line; thence
North 53° 07' 32" West along said tangent line to the
Easterly right of way line of the former Newbert Protection
District right of way for the channel of the Santa Aha River.
Bounded Southerly by a line which is 40 feet Northerly
measured at right angles and parallel with the following

14, 15, 22 and 23, in said Township and Range, and running
thence North 00° 47' 20" West along the East line of said
Section 15, a distance of 1322.$S feet; thence South 99°
22' 25" West 1~79.21 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave ~ortherly having a radius of 1000.00 feet; thence
Westerly along the arc of said curve through a central angle
of 44° 04' 26" an arc distance of 759.23 feet to a tangent
line; thence ~orth 4~~ 33' 0~" West along said tangent line
to said Easterly right of way line of the fond%er Newbert
Protection District. Bounded Easterly by the West line of
Kellogg Street as shown on a map of a re-plat of Santa Ana
Acres recorded in Book 5, Page ~, ~iscellaneous ~aps, Records
of Orange County, California.
PARCEL 3:.
Commencing at the intersection of the center line of
Fairview Avenue with 'the center line of Kellogg Street as
shown on a map of a re-plat of Santa Ana Acres recorded in
Book 5, Page ~, ~iscellaneous ~aps, Records of Orange County,'
California, and running thence Norfh 00~ 47' 20" West along
said center line of Kellogg Street 54.00 feet; thence South
89" 22' 2~" West 30.00 feet to the true point of beginning,
said true point of beginning beingoa point on the West line
of Kellogg Street; thence North S9 22' 2S" East 2.03 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave ~orthwesterly
having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence Easterly and Northerly
along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 90°
09' 4~" an arc distance of 39.34 feet to a tangent line;
thence South 00~ 47' 20" East 2.00 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of
25.00 feet; thence Southerly and Westerly along the arc of
