HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-006RESOLUTION NO. 61-6 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF SUGAR AVENUE LYING WITHIN PROPOSED TRACT NO. 3713 WHEREAS, it appears that that portion of Sugar Avenue lying within proposed Tract No. 3713 should be realigned, and after engineer- ing studies and agreements on exchange of rights of way, the Public Works Department has recommended that that portion cf Sugar Avenue right cf way be vacated where the same lies outside of the new street alignment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby adopts the map attached hereto and orders that the same be filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for particulars and exact location and the extent of the rights cf way proposed to be vacated. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate for street purposes that portion of Sugar Avenue in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of the South 10 acres of the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 15, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said West half; and running thence Westerly along the South line of said West half, a distance of 296.99 feet to the beginning of a curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 1042 feet and a radial bearing at the beginning of said curve of North 15° 57' 53" East; thence Northwesterly along said curve to an intersection with the North line of the South 20 feet of said West half; thence Easterly along said North line to the East line of said West half; thence Southerly along said East line of said West half, a distance of 20 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting the Easterly 30.00 feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Feb~ 6~ , 1961, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. -1- The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and High- ways Code). The Clerk of the Council is ordered to publish this Resolution in the manner~rescribed by law for the publication of Ordinances of the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street, stating the ~assage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate, and the time and place of hearing thereof. Said notices shall be p0~ted not more than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at least 10 days before the date of said hearing.
