OF A COPY OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO SAATI~A ANA,
ACCOMPANYING STATEMENT AND AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION
THEREOF AND APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION
WHEREAS, heretofore there was filed with the Clerk of the
Council of Santa Ana a copy of NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CI'I~/ OF SANTA ANA,
CALIFORNIA, accompanied by a written statement containing reasons
for said petition together with an affidavit of publication of the
same in the Santa Ana Register on January _~, 1961; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the Legis-
lative Body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the
notice and approving the circulation of the petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby acknowledges receipt of said notice, state-
ment and affidavit, as hereinabove set out, and that approval be and
the same is hereby given for the circulation of the petition for
annexation of that certain territory heretofore and hereby designated

shall not begin until twenty-one (21) days after the date of publi-
cation of said notice and statement.
That the territory herein designated "NEWPORT AND WARREN N.W.
ANNEX" lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is
described as:
