HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-048RESOLUTION NO. 61-h8 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF DELHI ROAD OUTSIDE OF THE NEW&ALIGNMENT OF DELHI ROAD, NOW WARNER AVENUE ~EREAS, Henry C. Cox has petitioned the City Council to vacate that portion of Delhi Road which has been abandoned as to use and which lies outside the new alignment of Delhi Road, now Warner Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, after study, the City Council has determined that the street is unnecessary for present or future proposed use, and that it serves no purpose as dedicated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby adopts the map attached hereto and orders that the same be filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for particulars and exact location and extent of the right of way proposed to be vacated. 'l~e City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate for street purposes that portion of Delhi Road outside of the new align- ment of Delhi Road, now Warner Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Ail that portion of Delhi Road lying Southerly of the following described line: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Raitt Street with the center line of Delhi Road as shown on a map of Tract No. 3679, recorded in Book 132, Pages 4, 5 and 6, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Cali- fornia; thence N. 87° 44' 45" E. along said center line of Delhi Road 749.31 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Northerly and having a radius of 1000 feet, a radial to said point bears S. 2° 15' 15" E.; thence S. 2° 15' 15" E. along said radial 59.00 feet to the beginning of a curve concentric with above mentioned curve and having a radius of 1059 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 27° 27' 16", an arc distance of 507.44 feet to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave Southerly and having a radius of 933.31 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 29° 32' 31", an arc distance of 481.22 feet to a tangent line, said tangent line being a line that is parallel with and 60.00 feet Southerly of the South line of Tract No. 2207, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 62, Pages 23 and 24, Miscel- laneous Maps, records of Orange County; and lying Westerly of a line which is parallel with and 203 feet West, measured at right angles, from the East line and its Northerly exten- sion of Lot 10, of the Williams Tract per Book 30, Page 14 of deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California. -1- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That March 20, 1961, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. The City Council declares its intention to proceed with the street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and High- ways Code). The Clerk of the Council is ordered to publish this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of Ordinances of the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate, and the time and place of hearing thereof. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at least 10 days before the date of said hearing. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of February, 1961.
