ADMINISTRATOR AND GRANTING VARIANCE APPLI-
CATION NO, 1448 FILED BY JEFF D. ALDRIDGE
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator, after public hearing on
notice, denied Variance Application No. 1448 filed by Jeff D.
Aldridge; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made no affirmation or
recommendation concerning said Variance Application; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 14 was duly filed by the
applicant requesting a hearing on said Variance Application No.
before the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice,
has decided that the Zoning Administrator should be overruled and
that said Variance should be granted upon certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
grants a Variance on Application No. 1448 to permit property located
at 1066 and 1070 West Fifth Street in the City of Santa Aha, lying
in the County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lots 2 and 3 in Block A of Shelton &.Deu~'s'addition
to the Town of Santa Ana, in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, as per map
thereof recorded in Book 18, Page 15, Miscellaneous
Maps and records of Los Angeles County, California,
in a C-1 District to be used for the construction of masonry building
99 feet, 4 inches by 24 feet, with an office 12 feet by 14 feet across
the rear of the buildi~ngfor aUt~mottve'repai~ u~l ~a~aVa~i&~ce is
granted subject to conditions:
1. That the building be constructed no closer than ten feet
from the rear yard lot line.
2. That off-street parking facilities be revised in such a
manner as to obtain the approval of the Planning
Department, but that tandem parking of the cars shall
be permitted.
3. That the owner replace 60 lineal feet of broken sidewalk.
4. That the owner replace the existing Westerly drive approach
with a standard drive approach.

prior to the issuance of a utilities release fr~n
the Building Department.

Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of March, 1961.
