OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ESTABLISHING THEREON PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC NECESSITY THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has de-
clared the area delimited as a Civic Center for the location of
public buildings and grounds, and said area includes the property
hereinbelow described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public
interest and necessity require that the City do have, take and acquire
fee title in and to a certain parcel of real property in the City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the East line of Flower Street,
as conveyed to the City of Santa Aha by deed recorded
January 9, 1931, in Book 449, Page 198 of Official Records,
305 feet South of the Southeast corner of Eighth and Flower
Streets, said point also being the Southwest corner of land
conveyed to Lloyd Hulbert and wife by Deed recorded April 17,
1945, in Book 1309, Page 310 of Official Records; thence
North along said East line of Flower Street, 100 feet; thence
East parallel with the South line of said land of Hulbert to
a point in the East line of said land of Hulbert; thence
South along said East line 100.00 feet to an angle corner in
the South line of said land of Hulbert; thence West along
said South line 121.40 feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Council does hereby
find and declare that the taking herein authorized is necessary for
the purpose of locating and constructing thereon public buildings
and grounds for the use of the City of Santa Ana and that it is
necessary to acquire fee title in and to said property. The said
City Council hereby declares that the location of said public
buildings and grounds is planned and located in a manner which would
be most ccmpatib le to the greatest public good and the least private
injury.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City of
Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California in and

for the County o~f Orange, to condemn said property herein described
and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final
determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said action for condemnation of
said property sought to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the State of
California, relating to eminent d~nain.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of March, 1961.
