HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-096RESOLUTION NO. 61-96 FAVORING A MAXIMUM RUNWAY LENGTH OF 5,000 FEET AT THE ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT WHEREAS, much study, consideration and effort has been devoted to questions regarding relocation, improvement and enlargement of the existing Orange County Airport and to the lengthening of the runway of said Airport; and WHEREAS, the decision to maintain the present location has been reached and a new flight tower has been approved and constructed and consideration has been given to a runway extension. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that this Council favors a maximum runway length of 5,000 feet, the retention of the present alignment of MacArthur Boule- vard and again requests that Supervisor Cy Featherly, representing the First Supervisorial District, vote in favor of a maximum runway length of 5,000 feet and to urge and vote for proposals expressed in this Resolution. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of April, 1961.
