Meeting called to order by the Mayor.

Each member of the City Council having received copies
of the Minutes of December I and December 8, 1952,
reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved
on motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried.

was authorized to open bids for the furnishing of 10,O00 feet of 6
inch Cast Iron Water Pipe, to be Class 150 Bell and Spigot, cement
lined, manufactured in accordance with Federal Specifications WW-P-
421, Type I or Type II, as follows:

the amount of $2000.00 accompanied bid.
Approx. lO,O00 lineal feet of 6" Class 150, Centrif-
ugally cast, Bell and Spigot, cast iron pipe, 18-foot

A petition was presented signed by four residents and pr~

Orange Avenue in a southerly direction on a gradual "S" turn at
Street and advising that on August 18, 1952, Application No. 33678
filed for authorization before the Public Utilities Commission of
State and the matter concluded on December 9, 1952, as decision No
48030 authorized the City to proceed with the construction of this

1. Preliminary and tentative design of street widening project on
Main Street from McFadden to First Streets,and from Sixth to the North
City Limits, in order to provide four travel lanes and additional
parking and curb allowance in conformance with the construction author-
ized from McFadden Street south to Anahurst.
2. Preliminary cost estimates for various sections of such project as
would provide a reasonable annual and progressive construction program
lea~ing toward early completion of the entire project.
